Historic bones, modern glass
Sanford's historic downtown and surrounding neighborhoods hold some of Central Florida's most characterful older homes — and some of its oldest windows. Original wood single-hungs with wavy glass are beautiful and completely defenseless in a storm. We replace them with impact windows built to match the original profiles, so the street keeps its look and the house gains real protection.
Lake Monroe and the river
Homes along Lake Monroe and the St. Johns River get the view and the wind: open water amplifies gusts, and waterfront glass takes the brunt. If your home faces the lake with big windows, those are your priority openings — impact-rated with low-E coatings to manage the sun off the water. The RiverWalk corridor's newer townhomes and condos should check association rules before replacing (see our condo guide).
The older-home checklist
Sanford's housing stock rewards careful measuring: settled frames, non-standard openings, and decades of layered paint are normal here. We check every frame for soundness, tell you which openings are retrofit candidates and which need full replacement, and never force a new window into a frame that can't hold it.
